Shoprite in Bloemfontein welcomes a recent HR graduate to gain hands-on experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, reporting, and people technology. The YES program partners with government and labour to create opportunities for youth employment.

You will work alongside experienced HR professionals, contributing to meaningful HR activities while learning practical skills and best practices in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A recently completed degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in developing a career within Human Resources and gaining practical workplace experience.
• Basic understanding of recruitment processes and employee lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn HR information systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and preparing reports.

• Support the recruitment process including job posting, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth and welcoming induction experience.
• Contribute to employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Maintain accurate HR records and assist with HR administration tasks.
• Assist in preparing HR reports and analysing data to support decision-making.
• Support the implementation and use of people technology systems and tools.
• Collaborate with experienced HR professionals to learn best practices and develop practical skills.
