Takealot.com, South Africa's leading online retailer, invites applications for an HR intern at the Johannesburg Distribution Centre. This 18-month contract role focuses on HR administration, onboarding, payroll support and employee queries, offering practical exposure to SA labour laws and HR systems.

You will work closely with our HR team to develop hands-on skills in recruitment facilitation, benefits, and labour relations while embracing a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• N6 in Human Resources required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data capturing.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Knowledge of SA labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA).
• Understanding of HR functions: recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.

• Filing
• HR Administration (assistance with HR documents, labour broker change forms)
• Management of the onboarding process
• Supporting the HR and business with employee queries
• HR Systems Administration (Axio, Intranet, The hub, Greenhouse)
• Payroll Administration (UI-19, Confirmation of employment, IRP5 etc)
• HR Communication (new starter emails)
