Job summary

Takealot, South Africa's leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented HR intern to join our team in Kwazulu-Natal Distribution Centre. The role encompasses HR administration, onboarding management, and payroll support, with exposure to systems like Axio, Intranet, The Hub and Greenhouse.

Perfect for a diligent, detail-oriented candidate with an N6 in HR, strong MS Office skills and a passion for people.

Qualifications

• N6 Certificate in Human Resource
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong data capturing and administration skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.
• Understanding principles and procedures for HR related functions, such as recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations, etc.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information

Responsibilities

• Filing, Scanning documents
• HR Administration (assistance with preparation of HR documents, labour broker change forms)
• Management of the onboarding process
• Supporting the HR and business with employee queries
• HR Systems Administration (Axio, Intranet, The hub, Greenhouse)
• Payroll Administration (UI-19, Confirmation of employment, IRP5 etc)
• HR Communication (new starter emails)
• Assisting with CCMA case
• Assistance with HR Projects

Qualifications & Experience:

N6 Certificate in Human Resource

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong data capturing and administration skills

• Knowledge of the applicable legislation, such as BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, etc.
• Understanding principles and procedures for HR related functions, such as recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations, etc.

This is an 18-month contract
