Job summary

Protea Hotels by Marriott® Cape Town is seeking a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee room and public area cleanliness and coordinate daily housekeeping activities. You will work with Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to maintain quality standards and guest satisfaction.

You will assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff, while ensuring safety policies are followed and assets are protected. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards.
• Run room status reports and update departing room status.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office and Laundry to deliver guest satisfaction.
