Job summary

Adapt IT (Pty) Ltd in Durban seeks an experienced Hospitality Systems Consultant to implement, install, configure and train on Micros products in hospitality settings, from go-live to post-go-live support.

The role requires 3–5 years in restaurant or POS environments with Micros Simphony and Inventory knowledge, plus willingness to travel and a valid driver’s license. You will review scopes, perform site-readiness, and manage documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in restaurant, hospitality or POS.
• Must have practical Micros system experience.
• Knowledge of Micros Simphony and Inventory.
• Knowledge of Oracle Micros products (Reporting & Analytics, Inventory, Labor, Summit).
• A, N, CCNA or IT Diploma advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel; weekends/after hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Micros products in hospitality settings.
• Review project scopes, plans, and data before start.
• Conduct site-readiness checks and assist hardware staging.
• Verify hardware against delivery documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete database configuration, testing and sign-off.
• Prepare training environments and deliver training to management and staff.
• Provide installation, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Maintain project and training documentation.
• Log and manage support calls within agreed timelines.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, and basic networking; escalate when needed.
