Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking a seasoned lodge operations manager to drive service standards across multiple lodges. You will support general management, oversee daily operations, and lead hospitality training to elevate the guest experience.

You will coordinate with heads of departments, manage stock and events, and ensure vibrant social media presence to showcase the brand. A proactive leader with at least 5 years in 5* settings is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• A formal qualification is required.
• 5+ years of management experience in a 5* operation is required.
• Hospitality and service training experience preferred.
• Must provide world-class guest experience and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support General Management in operating lodges and brand standards.
• Implement and manage the annual strategy and plan.
• Oversee day-to-day management of lodges and back-of-house departments.
• Lead service and hospitality training across lodges.
• Manage lodge stock orders and supplier relationships.
• Develop guest delight activities and guest experiences.
• Collaborate with head of housekeeping, butlers and camp managers to maintain standards.
• Hold daily HOD meetings to plan arrivals, departures and events.
• Maintain social media presence and online engagement.
• Host agents and media at large events.

Duties

• Support General Management in overall responsibility for the effect management and running of the Lodges to ensure the lodge and brand are taken to the next level of service standards.
• Ensure implementation and project management of the annual strategy
• Overall day to day Management of the lodges and all the back of house departments.
• Overall responsibility for implementing service and hospitality training plan at lodges
• Assist in placing and monitoring of all lodge operational stock orders
• Oversee and develop guest delight activities
• Work directly with head of housekeeping, butlers, camp managers and other HOD’s to ensure service standards are maintained at all times
• Daily meetings with HOD’s to discuss the daily plan, including arrivals, departures, special requests, bush banqueting
• Updating and ensuring the continuous presence on social media platforms.
• Hosting all Agents and Media, large events (groups, weddings, wine cellar)

Requirements

• Grade 12
• A formal qualification
• At least 5 years management experience in a 5* operation
• Hospitality and Service Training Experience
• Energetic, proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience and the ability to provide that experience.
