Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings is seeking a trades-ready painter to maintain, protect and enhance hospital buildings, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Responsibilities cover interior and exterior painting, scaffolding supervision, tiling in ablution areas, and timely material orders.

Standby availability and experience in healthcare settings are advantageous. Matric and a valid Trade Test in Paint Surfaces are required, with SAQA-approved qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• SAQA approved qualification in Paint Surfaces (NQF Level 3) advantageous.
• Valid Trade Test certificate.
• Minimum 3 years' site painting experience.
• Experience in a healthcare environment advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces to finishing coat.
• General painting of interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, including roofs, gutters, downpipes and fascias.
• Paint plant and equipment.
• Replace broken glass and louvre window glass.
• Measure and order materials timeously.
• Supervise erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
• Ceramic tiling in ablution blocks and splashbacks.
• Demarcate roads, parking bays and spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections and report findings to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with additional maintenance tasks as required.
