Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Horticulturist to manage and develop horticultural operations near Richards Bay. This hands-on role focuses on growing healthy plants, controlling pests, and enhancing garden aesthetics while supporting nursery productivity.

You will implement innovative horticultural techniques, supervise staff, and contribute to landscape development projects in a peaceful, green environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Horticulture, Botany, or related field.
• Experience as a Horticulturist or in a similar plant cultivation role.
• In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and integrated pest management.
• Skilled in pruning, propagation, and landscape design principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain ornamental gardens, orchards, and nursery stock.
• Monitor plant health, identify diseases and pests, and implement effective treatment strategies.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure plants receive adequate water.
