Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Horticulturist to manage and develop its specialized horticultural operations near Rustenburg. The role covers cultivation, plant care, soil health, pest and disease control, and program planning to maintain beautiful, productive green spaces.

You will supervise gardening staff, plan planting schedules, and ensure safety and high standards across the North West facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.
• Proven practical experience in horticultural management.
• In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and cultivation requirements.

About the Role

This role involves the cultivation, care, and management of a diverse range of plants, ensuring optimal growth, health, and aesthetic appeal. You will be responsible for planning planting schedules, managing soil health, implementing pest and disease control measures, and overseeing garden maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and horticultural best practices, combined with practical experience. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, plant, and maintain diverse horticultural collections, ensuring optimal growing conditions.
• Develop and implement integrated pest and disease management strategies.

• Prune, train, and propagate plants as needed, utilizing advanced horticultural techniques.

Requirements
