Job summary

Precision Recruitment International is seeking a Structural & Mechanical Inspector to conduct detailed inspections of heavy earth-moving equipment and related structural components. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and reliability through preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities include inspecting frames, booms, buckets, gears, and hydraulics; performing NDT and vibration tests; documenting findings; and advising on repairs or replacements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical or structural engineering.
• Certification in NDT or welding inspection preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, heavy machinery mechanics, and structural integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed inspections of earth-moving equipment (excavators, bulldozers, graders, dump trucks, loaders).
• Inspect structural components for cracks, wear and fatigue.
• Assess mechanical systems including hydraulics, transmissions, engines and brakes for performance.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and vibration analysis.
• Document findings and prepare reports with repair or preventive recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OEM specs and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule corrective actions.
• Support root cause analysis for mechanical failures and defects.
• Maintain inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and training on equipment care and safety.
