Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Healthcare Architect to join their Port Elizabeth practice. You will lead the design of hospitals, clinics, and medical centers, translating clinical requirements into patient-centered, compliant environments.

You will collaborate with medical staff, administrators, and consultants, manage consultants through design and construction, and ensure patient safety and infection control throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Registered Architect with SACAP.
• Minimum 7 years of healthcare facility design experience.
• Strong knowledge of SANS, OHS Act and healthcare guidelines.
• Proficiency in Revit and related design software.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Experience with medical equipment integration and workflow planning.

This role focuses on the design and development of state-of-the- healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. You will be responsible for translating complex clinical requirements into functional, efficient, and patient-centered environments. This is a critical position requiring deep understanding of healthcare standards and a passion for improving health outcomes through thoughtful design, contributing to the healthcare infrastructure of the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new healthcare facilities and renovations, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
