Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to join their team on a fully remote basis, overseeing safety programs for construction projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring safety systems across sites, with emphasis on risk assessments and incident investigations.

The ideal candidate will hold NEBOSH or SAMTRAC, have at least 5 years in construction HSE, and be skilled at delivering training and promoting a strong safety

• Minimum of 5 years in a Health and Safety role within construction.
• Knowledge of South African OHS Act and related legislation.

Responsibilities

About the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment across all project sites by developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety programs. You will be responsible for risk assessments, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture among all personnel, including those working remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in relevant legislation and possesses excellent communication and training skills to foster a proactive safety mindset.

Key Responsibilities
