Job summary

Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking a Head Personal Trainer to lead our fitness team at a premier wellness facility. You will oversee personal training operations, mentor staff, and craft personalized fitness programs to drive client satisfaction and outcomes.

The ideal candidate has nationally recognized certifications, 5+ years in training with 2+ years in leadership, and strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, plus CPR/AED.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification (NASM/ACE/ACSM).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a personal trainer, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Ability to design effective and safe training programs for diverse populations.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Current CPR/AED certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and develop personalized training programs.
• Provide one-on-one and small group training sessions, ensuring proper form and technique.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of personal trainers, setting performance standards and providing ongoing support.
• Develop and implement new fitness programs and challenges to engage members.
• Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, research, and training methodologies.
• Manage client records and track progress towards fitness goals.
