Placements24 in Sandton is seeking a Head of Fitness & Wellness Programs to design and oversee a full suite of fitness classes, personal training services, and wellness initiatives. You will lead a team of qualified professionals, drive member experiences, and grow the business through innovative programming in Gauteng's competitive fitness market.

The role requires 5+ years in fitness management, a Bachelor's in Kinesiology or related field (Master's preferred), and professional certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fitness management or program leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certifications (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM) are required.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, drive results, and manage complex projects.
• Exceptional communication, strategic planning, and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and curate a diverse and engaging schedule of fitness classes, workshops, and wellness programs.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of fitness instructors, personal trainers, and wellness practitioners.
• Establish and maintain high standards for program quality, safety, and member satisfaction.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote programs and drive membership engagement and retention.
• Manage program budgets, instructor schedules, and equipment inventory.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to continuously enhance the fitness and wellness portfolio.
