Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Chief of Operations for the Gautrain project to oversee the physical delivery of trains, ensuring quality, schedule and cost targets are met at the final assembly site.

You will coordinate industrialization, production, test and commissioning, while aligning with Supply Chain and ToT programs. A strong background in project/site management, ERP data handling, and cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering or master's degree level education, preferably in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical or supply chain disciplines.
• At least 7 to 10 years of experience in industrial operations including 3 years at project or site management level.
• Extensive industrial, supply chain and Alstom product knowledge and project/company background.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical delivery of the train on quality, time and costs.
• Coordinate Supply Chain, Industrialization, Production, Test & Commissioning for the train delivery site.
• Lead Construction & Installation Management Plan and CAPEX for Assembly line set-up.
• Consolidate staffing plans for assembly line and sub-systems with SSMs.
• Lead Transfer of Technology and ensure skillset development per ToT commitment.
• Be accountable for Gate Reviews Go on Time and compliance with codes and policies.
