Placements24 is seeking a Lead Thermal Systems Engineer in Cape Town to head the design and optimization of advanced thermal management systems, including HVAC and refrigeration for commercial/industrial use.

The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on thermal design with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity, mastery of thermodynamics and heat transfer, and experience with ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, and Flow Simulation. Cape Town-based, on-site position with strong growth potential.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with Thermal specialization required.
• 8–10 years hands-on thermal system design experience, minimum 3 in leadership.
• Proven expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer and refrigerant cycles.

• Lead lifecycle of thermal systems from concept to production launch.
• Develop thermodynamic models and simulations for HVAC/refrigeration.
• Oversee component/material selection to meet targets.
• Manage a team of thermal engineers and provide mentorship.
