About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Head of Operations to lead their extensive operational activities in Durban. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of all operational functions. You will drive efficiency, implement innovative solutions, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with a proven ability to manage complex operations and build high-performing teams in a demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set the strategic direction for all operational functions, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
Oversee the management of all operational departments, including production, logistics, customer service, and quality assurance.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
Lead and mentor the operations management team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
Manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and best practices to enhance performance.

Requirements

Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
10+ years of progressive experience in operations management , with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity such as Head of Operations or VP of Operations.
Proven experience in managing large-scale operations, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics sector.
Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
