About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Head of Operations - Coastal Region to lead their extensive operational network within the vibrant city of Durban . This executive role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and service delivery excellence. You will be responsible for orchestrating all operational facets, driving efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing a substantial budget, all while fostering a high-performance culture within the team. This is a crucial position for shaping the company's operational future and its impact on the KwaZulu-Natal market.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic planning and day-to-day management of all operational functions across the coastal region.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain, logistics, and service delivery processes for enhanced efficiency and cost savings.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
• Manage operational budgets, P&L, and resource allocation, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies in Durban .
• Implement and enforce robust quality control measures and ensure compliance with all industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale operations, supply chains, and logistics within the Coastal Region .
• Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and budget forecasting.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
