AVBOB Group is seeking a dynamic Department Head: Operations Support Insurance to lead and manage key operational, compliance, regulatory, system governance, and employee management functions within the Operations Support Insurance Department. The role requires delivering regulatory compliance, overseeing critical systems, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Matric qualification.
• 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the insurance industry.
• Advanced Excel skills to manage and analyse complex data effectively.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Strong conflict management abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage FAIS compliance, including the FSCA Central Register, Key Individuals, Representatives, Fit and Proper requirements, AML screening, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee annual FSCA levies and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Lead system governance for Sinawe and Broker Connect, including change management, UAT testing, stakeholder coordination, and system improvements.
• Monitor and manage minimum wage governance, representative debt, and coaching administration.
• Drive operational controls, risk management, process improvements, and reporting.
• Lead, develop, and manage staff while ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour legislation.
• Provide operational support to management and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and training material.
