Network Finance is seeking an experienced Head of Finance & Controlling to drive financial strategy and governance. You will partner with executive leadership and operations to optimise profitability, manage risks and ensure IFRS compliance.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting and commercial partnering while overseeing project and manufacturing finance, with a focus on controls and reporting accuracy across the business.”

Qualifications

• BCom Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent incl Accounting III.
• Minimum of 10 years' progressive finance experience in an operational/manufacturing/project-based environment.
• Strong IFRS knowledge; CIMA or equivalent qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning with risk tracking.
• Oversee accounting processes, controls and IFRS compliance.
• Drive management reporting, profitability analysis and cash flow forecasting.
• Partner with executives and operational teams to optimise performance.

Job description

As Head of Finance & Controlling, you will drive financial strategy, strengthen financial governance and provide critical commercial insights to support sustainable business growth. You will partner with executive leadership and operational stakeholders to optimise profitability, manage financial risks and ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and corporate policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, identifying risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
• Financial Control & Governance: Oversee accounting processes, reconciliations, financial controls and compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Drive management reporting, profitability analysis, cash-flow forecasting and variance analysis to support informed decision-making.
• Commercial & Business Partnering: Work closely with executive, programme and operational teams to strengthen financial performance and commercial outcomes.
• Project & Contract Accounting: Oversee project financials, long-term contract accounting, revenue recognition, bid costing and contract reviews.
• Manufacturing & Cost Control: Provide financial oversight of operational costs, cost accounting and working-capital management.
• Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining robust internal controls and audit readiness.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Leverage SAP ERP, advanced Excel and financial modelling to improve financial reporting, analysis and operational efficiency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification, including Accounting III.
• Minimum of 10 years' progressive finance experience within an operational, manufacturing or project-based environment.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience in international business and trade.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• CIMA or an equivalent professional finance qualification will be advantageous.
