Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Public Policy, Computer Science with AI ethics focus.
• Expertise in AI ethics principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of GDPR/POPIA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI ethics policies, guidelines and standards.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for AI projects and mitigation recommendations.
• Oversee governance of AI systems ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, product managers and legal teams to embed ethics.
• Lead workshops and training on AI ethics for internal teams.
• Monitor regulatory landscapes and advise on strategic decisions.
• Engage with external stakeholders and industry bodies on ethics topics.
