Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Head Cricket Coach to lead its cricket academy in Klerksdorp. This senior role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive cricket strategy, nurturing talent from grassroots to elite levels, and cultivating a strong team culture.

You will oversee coaching, player development, match preparation, talent identification, and performance analysis, with a focus on leadership, mentorship, and building durable pathways for players to progress to

Qualifications

Extensive experience as a cricket coach, preferably at a senior or head coach level.
Possession of Level 3 cricket coaching accreditation or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of cricket techniques, strategies, and modern coaching methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication that inspires players and staff.
Demonstrated ability in talent identification and nurturing young athletes.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for the academy focusing on player development and competitive success.
Design and deliver high-intensity training sessions across batting, bowling, fielding, and game strategy.
Recruit, scout, and develop promising cricket talent for the academy.
Manage team logistics, including scheduling matches, travel, and performance analysis.
Provide motivational leadership and individual guidance to foster growth and resilience.
