Job summary
Cricket South Africa in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Cricket Coach to drive player development and performance excellence across age groups. You will design structured coaching programs, mentor athletes, and lead performance assessments within a growing cricket ecosystem.
Reporting to the Head of Cricket Development, the role involves elite coaching environments, modern athlete development systems, and extensive coaching pathways.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in sports science, physical education, coaching or related discipline.
- Cricket South Africa coaching certification preferred.
- Additional certifications in sports performance or athlete development are advantageous.
- First Aid and Child Protection certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement annual cricket coaching plans.
- Deliver advanced batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, and fielding sessions.
- Conduct player evaluations and performance reviews.
- Utilize video analysis tools to improve player performance.
- Coordinate match preparation and tactical planning.
- Support strength and conditioning integration with coaching programs.
- Mentor junior athletes and academy players.
- Develop talent identification programs across regional structures.
