Recruit for Africa is assisting a growing restaurant group in Johannesburg to find experienced Head Chefs. The role focuses on leading day-to-day kitchen operations across multiple outlets, with steakhouse, Greek and Italian concepts.You will develop kitchen teams, implement standards, manage costs, and help open new outlets as the group expands. Strong leadership, high-volume kitchen experience, and a hands-on approach are essential.

Formación

• Proven experience as Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in large outlets.
• Experience in steakhouse/ Mediterranean cuisines advantageous.
• Strong leadership and staff development abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Proven ability to manage food costs and wastage.

Responsabilidades

• Take overall responsibility for day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation and taste.
• Oversee stock levels and inventory management.
• Ensure kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
• Assist with menu development and new concepts.
• Support opening of new outlets and rollout of standards.
• Train kitchen staff and conduct performance reviews.
