Placements24 is seeking an exceptionally talented Head Chef to lead a renowned fine-dining restaurant in Cape Town. You will conceptualize and execute a world-class dining experience, manage a high-performing kitchen team, and uphold the establishment's gastronomic reputation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive culinary experience.
• At least 7 years in Head Chef or Executive Chef role in fine-dining or Michelin-starred establishments.
• Proven track record in menu development and kitchen management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative, seasonal menus reflecting culinary excellence.
• Lead and mentor the kitchen team to uphold top standards of food quality and presentation.
• Manage kitchen operations including inventory, procurement, and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain relationships with local suppliers and sourcing of ingredients.
• Oversee budget, food costs, and labor expenses.
• Stay ahead of culinary trends and continuously evolve the menu.
