Hasher Family Wines in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is seeking a temporary Assistant Winemaker for the 2027 harvest season (November 2026 - April 2027). You will work closely with the Winemaker to support cellar operations and ensure quality and safety standards.

This role suits a passionate individual who enjoys both practical winemaking and technical aspects, thriving in a fast-paced cellar environment and contributing to a close-knit family-driven team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' production cellar experience.
• Sound knowledge of cellar operations and winemaking processes.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Systems & certifications, including WineMS, IPW and SAWIS.
• Drivers license & Forklift license will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Winemaker and support all cellar operations during the harvest season.
• Maintain high quality and food safety standards in a fast-paced cellar environment.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth wine production processes.
