Job summary

Bloemfontein Tent Repairs is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to run the day-to-day factory and installation operations. We manufacture and repair canvas and PVC products, including caravan tents, covers, tautliners, pool covers and outdoor blinds.

You will lead a team of 15–20, plan production, ensure deadlines, manage customers, visit sites for measurements, and help develop solutions for complex custom jobs to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or related environment.
• Customer-facing abilities and good communication.
• Ability to close deals when following up quotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 15–20 people on factory floor and installation sites.
• Plan and control daily production to meet deadlines.
• Keep jobs moving and ensure deadlines are met with high workmanship standards.
• Coordinate factory work and on-site installations, visiting sites for measurements.
• Develop solutions for unusual or difficult custom jobs and support customers.
