Job summary

Curve Gear is seeking an Operations Manager to run the retail fleet across 16 stores in South Africa. You will own the store operating system, people, numbers and discipline, with hands-on floor presence and quarterly audits. The role requires leading managers, rostering to trade, and driving data‑driven decisions to meet growth targets.

You will work with Shopify POS, Acumatica, EasyTeam and Make.com, ensuring uniform standards and stock integrity. Willingness to travel nationally is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in multi-store retail operations with leadership across locations.
• Proven track record of running stores to standard SOPs, audits and scorecards.
• Hands-on P&L accountability at store/region level; rostering to trade.
• Fluent with retail systems and data to drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve the store operating manual, SOPs and standards across 16 stores.
• Lead area management and rostering to meet wage-to-turnover targets.
• Drive daily briefs, weekly reviews, stock takes and audits across the fleet.
• Oversee onboarding, training ladders and store-manager development.
• Manage stock integrity, shrinkage controls, returns and the hoodie guarantee.
