Pronel Personnel is assisting a fast-paced FMCG plant in Pretoria to hire an Assistant Mechanical Foreman for the day shift. You will lead the mechanical team, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment uptime across the production line.

The role requires hands-on foreman experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of pumps, conveyors, and alignment is highly valued.

Formación

• Previous mechanical management/foreman experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and take ownership.
• Experience with plant mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of pumps, fittings and alignment.
• Bearing fitment and mechanical alignment.
• Sprockets, chains, V-belts and pulleys.
• Conveyor systems and bucket elevators.
• FMCG experience and automation knowledge advantageous.
• Heat exchanger and boiler experience advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the dayshift mechanical team and keep plant running smoothly.
• Oversee maintenance activities and respond to breakdowns.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Be available for standby duties and overtime when required.
