Job summary

Fancourt in George, South Africa, is seeking a Guest Relations Officer with drive and passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, a strong communicator, guest-centric and capable of maintaining high service standards.

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, 2 years’ Front of House experience, and working knowledge of hotel management software and MS Office; hotel diploma and SAP/Guest Connect experience are a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Reservations and Front Office to obtain accurate data on arrivals and needs.
• Maintain and update Guest profiles with information from stay and feedback.
• Follow up on Guest Revu feedback and address issues with department managers.

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is situated in George in the heart of the Garden Route. An exciting career opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Guest Relations Officer.

We are looking for someone with drive and passion for the industry and with the ability to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards.

The ideal candidate must be outgoing, an excellent communicator and be guest centric. A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, 2 years’ experience in a Front of House environment and working knowledge of hotel management software and MS Office are required. A Hotel Management / Tourism Diploma and experience working on Guest Connect and SAP will be advantageous. You must have a passion for working with people and the drive to continuously improve.

Duties

• Ensure clients/ guests needs and requests are fulfilled efficiently, courteously and professionally on arrival, at departure and for the duration of their time;
• Liaise with Reservations and Front Office to obtain accurate data of arrivals, departures and other needs;
• Maintain and constantly update Customer/Guest profiles with information acquired during the guests stay and from Guest Revu feedback received after departure;
• Guest Revu Survey – follow up on feedback received from guests in the survey, investigate matters with department managers and respond to the guests.

We are looking for candidates who have their own accommodation in George / surrounds, who are prepared to work weekends, Public holiday and shifts, and who are fit and able to carry out the normal responsibilities attached to this role.
