Placements24 seeks a skilled Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to support Mossel Bay operations. The role covers maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of tow tractors, belt loaders, power units, and more, with a mix of workshop and on-the-ramp duties.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in heavy machinery maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work solo or in a team under varying weather conditions in Mossel Bay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or Technician, with a background in heavy machinery or vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on GSE including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repair histories.
• Operate GSE safely for testing or operational support.
