Job summary

Helderberg Personnel seeks a dedicated finance professional to oversee the day-to-day financial administration and reporting, ensuring accurate records, strong controls and SARS compliance. The role supports management decision-making, budgeting, cash flow and overall financial performance.

Based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town area, you will coordinate payroll, prepare monthly management accounts, handle VAT and EMP201 submissions, and liaise with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance
• 3–5 years' experience in finance or management accounting
• Experience with statutory submissions, payroll, financial reporting and audit prep

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial administration, including cashbook, petty cash, bank and debtor reconciliations
• Oversee creditor reconciliations, supplier payments, credit notes and monthly payment schedules
• Prepare journal entries, trial balances and monthly management accounts
• Compile financial reports, expense comparisons and financial analysis
• Monitor cash flow, receipts and payments, identifying opportunities for improved cost control
• Manage foreign currency sales invoices, forex bank reconciliations and related reporting
• Coordinate monthly payroll, salary schedules and related administration
• Prepare and submit EMP201 and VAT201 reconciliations and returns via SARS e-filing
• Manage bi-annual IRP5 submissions and assist with other statutory and regulatory compliance requirements
• Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee annual stocktakes and audit verification
• Prepare financial documentation and schedules for annual audits and liaise with external auditors
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Provide financial guidance and support to the Directors
• Assist with HR-related administration and compliance, including EE, BBBEE, POPIA and relevant SETA/&RSETA submissions
