Job summary

Project A Recruitment (S And A Project Management) is seeking a senior leader to drive growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across logistics operations in South Africa. You will oversee budgets, business performance, and strategic initiatives while leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver service excellence.

The role requires a strong background in logistics, customs compliance and international trade, with at least 7 years in the field and 5 years at senior level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, International Trade or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years' progressive experience within logistics, freight forwarding, customs, supply chain or international trade.
• At least 5 years' senior-level experience.
• Proven experience managing business operations, budgets and commercial performance.
• Strong leadership, financial, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent understanding of logistics, customs compliance and international trade.
• An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, logistics, warehousing and service delivery.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, P&L and cost control.
• Drive new business development and strengthen key customer relationships.
• Ensure regulatory, customs and trade compliance.
• Lead, develop and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee operational performance, risk management and service standards.
