A leading organisation within the automotive/manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Group Parts Logistics Supervisor to lead the end-to-end urgent parts logistics function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the fast, cost-effective sourcing, replenishment and availability of critical parts and accessories from local and international suppliers.
Monitor inventory performance, demand, backorders and stock levels to achieve service-level targets.
Analyse airfreight costs, manage excess and obsolete inventory, and coordinate supplier claims.
Prepare inventory, demand, service-level and performance reports to support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/VDA standards, procurement governance and audit requirements.
Identify trends, recommend corrective actions and drive continuous process improvement.
Lead, coach, develop and performance-manage a team of Analysts to achieve operational excellence.
Manage relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers.
Ensure critical parts are sourced and replenished efficiently within a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
Diploma or relevant qualification in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or Business; CPIM/B.Com Supply Chain advantageous.
4–5 years’ relevant experience in inventory management, purchasing, supply chain or logistics within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001/VDA standards, procurement governance and compliance procedures.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, sourcing, import logistics, manufacturing lead times and supplier/freight forwarder management.
Advanced proficiency in SAP, IDIS or equivalent and MS Office; knowledge of EPIS and ETKA advantageous.
Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
Confident and assertive when dealing with suppliers, service providers and logistics partners.
Highly organised, self-driven and able to work independently under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation.
