Our client is an operationally-involved investment group. The marketing team operates as a quasi internal agency, covering the 5 different B2B operating companies (Majority of the operating companies are in the UK) in the portfolio. This is a fast growing group that has grown over 300% in the last 24 months and will be close to R500m turnover in 2026. With fast growth comes a need for senior staff and proper structure, which is happening now. They are looking for someone ambitious and high energy to lead the marketing department.
The Role:
As the Group Head of Marketing, you are here to take our department to the next level. Our marketing team broadly covers ‘inbound’, ‘CRM’ & ‘outbound’ functions. ‘Inbound’ covers brand, SEO, social media, web and design, ‘CRM’ covers leadflow, workflows, lead administration and messaging to our customers and outbound covers a GTM team that has both strategic and technical expertise in high volume, highly targeted email and social outreach.
We have strong and lean teams in place, and this role's key task will be to set the strategy and then effectively ensure execution at pace, facilitate great communication cross-teams and from marketing into the operating companies, and ensure that the team and the leaders of the business have the reporting available to make strategic decisions.
The successful applicant will be as comfortable building structures and making reporting structures as they are leading a large team. This is a role suitable for a hands-on builder rather than a hands-off executive.
The responsibilities of this role include:

- We value proven capability over traditional credentials. If you have successfully led a multi-disciplinary team of 10–30 across B2B marketing, covering Brand, Web, SEO, GTM, and CRM—or were the core #2 directly enabling that team's success,we want to talk to you. If the target audience was in the UK, then even better.

- Extremely high standards of output and the ability to take a team to that high standard
- Ability to move at speed
- ‘Just getting it’ when it comes to systems and tech
- You don't need to be an AI jedi but you will have people in the team who are, so you need to have a keen interest in, and working knowledge of modern growth stacks

- High intellectual confidence backed by extreme data‑driven humility—decisive in strategy, but quick to pivot when metrics prove otherwise
- Ability to manage and lead a diverse and driven team, including a passion for helping guide people with high potential to new heights
- Ability to set the strategy and then equally able to execute on it to completion.
