Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions client in FMCG manufacturing seeks a Group Financial Manager to lead group-level financial management, governance, procurement strategy, and digital transformation initiatives. You will provide critical insights to support sustainable, profitable growth while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and supplier alignment across the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with and report to the CFO.

Qualifications

• Required: BCom / BCompt with SAICA articles and CA(SA) or AGA status.
• 7+ years in financial management, preferably in manufacturing/FMCG.
• Experience in procurement, contracts, and finance automation with IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead group financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
• Oversee statutory IFRS/compliance, tax, governance and procurement strategy.
• Drive digital transformation, ERP optimization, automation, and AI initiatives.
• Provide strategic financial insights for investments, growth, and profitability.
• Collaborate with CFO and executive team on long-term strategy.

Overview:

Our client in the FMCG manufacturing sector, is looking for a Group Financial Manager to lead group-level financial management, governance, procurement strategy, and digital transformation initiatives. This role will provide critical insights to support sustainable, profitable growth while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and supplier alignment across the business. Requirements:

• Completed BCom / BCompt and SAICA articles




• Registered CA (SA) preferred / AGA (SA) essential




• 7+ years' experience in financial management, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, or multi-entity groups




• Proven experience in procurement, legal/commercial contracts, and finance automation.




• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax, corporate governance, and procurement best practices.




• Experience with ERP systems, automation tools, and AI-driven process improvement.




• Exposure to investment analysis, capital projects, and strategic growth initiatives.
