Humankind Group is seeking a technically strong CA(SA) to lead the Group Finance function’s consolidation and financial reporting activities. You will own complex IFRS-based group accounting across multiple entities and liaise with external auditors on key matters.

A leading organisation is looking for a technically strong CA to join its Group Finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CA(SA) with strong IFRS and group consolidation experience who wants to work in a hands-on financial reporting environment and take ownership of technically complex group accounting matters.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Group's consolidation and financial reporting activities across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly IFRS group consolidations
• Preparing consolidation journals and intercompany eliminations
• Accounting for associates and non-controlling interests
• Preparing consolidated balance sheets, income statements and cash flows
• Supporting annual financial statement preparation and review
• Managing accounting for acquisitions, disposals and group structural changes
• Reviewing intercompany balances and resolving discrepancies
• Reviewing subsidiary balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing fixed asset and CAPEX reviews
• Reviewing IFRS 16 lease accounting reconciliations
• Preparing technical accounting papers and memos
• Supporting subsidiary finance teams on technical accounting matters
• Liaising with external auditors and resolving audit queries
• IFRS 3,10,27,28 exposure

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• CA(SA) qualification
• Strong IFRS and financial reporting knowledge
• Genuine hands-on group consolidation experience
• Strong understanding of intercompany eliminations and consolidation accounting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Ability to work with large volumes of financial information across multiple entities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to research and apply IFRS requirements independently

Important: This is a technically focused Group Accountant position. Candidates should have genuine experience with IFRS-based consolidations, rather than simply aggregating financial information or reporting packs.
