Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dynamic and experienced Ground Operations Supervisor to lead a team at the Stellenbosch airfield. You will oversee ground handling, baggage, and ramp activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely operations for aircraft and passengers.

You will supervise crew, manage resources, and coordinate with pilots and airport personnel to uphold high safety and service standards, including training staff and supervising GSE usage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ground operations within the aviation industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of aircraft ground handling procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in relevant ground operations software and systems.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in Stellenbosch.
