Job summary

Placements24 in Randburg, Gauteng, seeks a Community Project Facilitator to drive hands-on development initiatives across education, skills training, and local infrastructure projects through close community engagement.

You will work with community members, local leaders and NGOs to plan, implement, monitor and report on progress, manage timelines and budgets, and promote sustainable community ownership and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Community Development, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating and managing community projects, preferably in Gauteng.
• Strong understanding of community development methodologies and principles.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
• Proficiency with standard office software and project management tools.
• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making; commitment to empowerment and sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of community development projects.
• Engage actively with community members to identify needs and build project support.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
