Job summary

Rory Mackie & Associates is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join a small, collaborative systems development team working on web-based ERP platforms and websites. The role offers mentorship and exposure to the full development lifecycle, including feature development, bug fixes, code maintenance, and reviews.

Ideal candidates will hold a related bachelor’s degree and have a solid foundation in software development, OO concepts, and familiarity with Git, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in software development principles.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of databases, backend development, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Exposure to Ruby on Rails is advantageous but not essential.

The business has experienced significant international growth by placing technology at the core of its operations and is seeking a Graduate Software Engineer to join its small, collaborative systems development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Computer Science or Software Engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to the ongoing development of web-based ERP platforms and websites. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced developers, receiving mentorship while gaining exposure to the full systems development landscape, including feature development, bug fixes, code maintenance, and code reviews. Their systems are entirely web based and built using Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities:
