The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively. You will be involved in translating requirements into functional solutions, producing technical documentation, performing testing, and assisting with problem resolution and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions according to project specifications and design requirements.
• Design and define system and user interfaces for software applications.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation in line with company standards.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure software performs as expected.
• Investigate user requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Assist with system testing and quality assurance activities.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve software-related issues and defects.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Software Engineering role.
• 5 to 8 years' experience working with object-oriented programming principles.
• Practical experience with programming languages such as C#, C++, .NET, PHP, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with InterSystems Ensemble will be advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
