Placements24 is seeking a proactive Graduate Project Assistant to join our engineering consultancy client in Benoni, Gauteng. You will support project managers and engineers across planning, execution, and delivery of diverse projects, gaining hands-on experience in documentation, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.

This office-based role offers structured mentorship, training in PM methodologies, and exposure to infrastructure projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
• Keen interest in project management methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes and progress reports.
• Track milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely completion.
• Support project communication and correspondence.
• Assist in procuring equipment and services for projects.
• Help resolve project issues and escalation when necessary.
• Maintain project filing systems and easy access to documents.
• Contribute to post-project analysis and lessons learned.
