Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Graduate Chemical Engineer intern to join their projects team in Paarl. You will assist in planning, scheduling, procurement tracking, and documentation while gaining hands-on experience under senior project managers and engineers.

You will develop skills in project lifecycles within the industrial sector of the Western Cape, with mentorship and guidance. There is potential for future full-time employment based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, obtained within the last two years.
• Strong academic record and foundational understanding of engineering principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers and engineers in planning and scheduling of project activities.
• Support procurement and tracking of project materials and equipment.
• Participate in project meetings, document minutes, and track action items.
• Contribute to development of project documentation, including reports and presentations.
• Assist with site inspections and monitoring of project progress against timelines.
• Learn and apply project management tools and methodologies under supervision.
