Placements24 is seeking a bright and motivated Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their R&D team in Paarl, South Africa. This internship offers hands-on experience with laboratory experiments, data analysis, and scale-up studies, under mentorship from experienced researchers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering, with strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and reaction kinetics, plus good communication and a proactive, detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and reaction kinetics.
• Experience with laboratory equipment is advantageous.
• Proficient in data analysis and tools like Excel or Minitab.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab experiments and pilot studies under supervision.
• Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
• Assist design and modification of experimental setups and pilot plants.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Support scale-up from lab to pilot or commercial scale.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety compliance.
