Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Chemical Engineer for an on-site internship in Paarl, Western Cape. You will work with experienced engineers on process design, data analysis, and documentation, gaining exposure to P&IDs, safety reviews, and plant trials.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, and professional development in a real-world chemical manufacturing setting. Applicants should be recent graduates or final-year students with a solid grounding in chemical engineering

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Strong understanding of core chemical engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented and eager to learn new skills and technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of chemical processes and equipment.
• Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing projects.
• Help prepare and update process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.
• Provide on‑site support during plant trials, equipment installations, and maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Research and compile information on new technologies or process improvements.
• Support the commissioning and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to all company safety and environmental policies.

About the Role Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturing company, is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join their project support team in Paarl, Western Cape.
