Qualifications

Grassroots Preparatory, a small independent mainstream school offering a nurturing learning environment, invites applications from passionate, suitably qualified Intersen phase teachers to teach our combined Grade 4 and 5 class.

We are looking for a dedicated educator who values small classes and is committed to helping every learner grow academically and personally.

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree appropriate for the Intermediate Phase.
• Valid SACE registration.
• A police clearance certificate.
• More than three years’ teaching experience, preferably in the Intermediate Phase.
• Sound knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and Intermediate Phase assessment requirements.
• The ability to plan, teach and assess effectively across both grades in a mixed-grade classroom.
• Strong classroom management, organisational and communication skills.
• A patient, adaptable and engaging teaching approach.
• A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

Previous experience teaching mixed-grade classes will be an advantage.
