Placements24 is seeking an experienced Professional Golf Academy Director & Lead Instructor in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will lead the academy’s strategic direction, coach high-level players, and manage daily operations to ensure outstanding service and growth.

The role requires a PGA certification, a track record of developing competitive golfers, and strong leadership with budgeting responsibilities. Flexibility to work weekends is essential in this premium golf facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional golf coaching experience, with at least 4 years in an academy leadership or director role.
• PGA Professional certification or equivalent international qualification.
• Proven track record of developing golfers to competitive levels.
• Strong understanding of golf biomechanics, sports psychology, and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and staff supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed in Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative golf training programs for all skill levels, from beginners to touring professionals.
• Conduct individual and group lessons, utilizing advanced coaching techniques and technology.
• Oversee the strategic planning and daily operations of the golf academy, ensuring operational efficiency and member satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of qualified golf professionals and support staff.
• Develop and manage the academy's budget, forecasting revenue and controlling expenses.
• Organize and promote golf clinics, camps, junior programs, and corporate events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, clients, and golf industry partners.
• Ensure the academy facilities and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in golf instruction, technology, and player development.
• Promote a positive, professional, and performance-oriented culture within the academy.
