Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist to enhance the quality management systems in Soweto. The role ensures compliance with GMP and internal policies, auditing, documenting, and implementing QC procedures to safeguard product integrity and patient safety.

The position is a hybrid role, collaborating across departments to foster a strong quality culture. The ideal candidate has deep GMP/QA knowledge, at least 4 years of pharmaceutical QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical QA or QC.
• In-depth knowledge of GMP and QA principles.
• Experience with QMS, audits, deviation investigations, and CAPA systems.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with GMP.
• Conduct internal audits of processes, documentation, and facilities.
• Review and approve batch records, validation protocols, and change control docs.
• Investigate deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances; implement CAPAs.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and audits by health authorities and customers.
• Train personnel on quality assurance procedures and GMP requirements.
