Job summary

NTU International A/S seeks experienced professionals to join the Urban Development Experts Talent Pool. You will identify and appraise sustainable urban development projects, conduct diagnostics and feasibility studies, and advise on governance reforms and policy frameworks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in urban development, urban planning or municipal infrastructure, with international experience and knowledge of Global Gateway and the European Green Deal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in urban development, urban planning or municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in integrated urban planning, master plans and land-use planning.
• Knowledge of sustainable urban mobility, green infrastructure and climate-resilient design.
• Familiarity with urban governance reforms, regulatory frameworks and public sector partnerships.
• Experience with international technical assistance, donor-funded and/or IFI-financed projects is highly desirable.
• Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America/Caribbean, or Asia/Pacific is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Support identification, preparation, appraisal and implementation of sustainable urban development projects.
• Conduct urban diagnostics, prefeasibility and feasibility studies, analyses, and urban development studies.
• Support integrated urban planning and land-use planning and master plan development.
• Support development of smart, green, inclusive and climate-resilient cities.
• Advise authorities on urban policies, governance reforms and regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare urban investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Integrate mobility and accessibility in urban development planning.
• Assist in urban regeneration, public spaces and nature-based solutions.
• Incorporate climate adaptation and mitigation, disaster risk reduction and resilience into investments.
• Promote social inclusion, gender equality and accessibility in urban development.
