Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-year qualification related to import/export trade
• 4-5 years’ experience in imports-exports operations, logistics and customs compliance
• Strong knowledge of Import & Export procedures and SA customs requirements
• Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods
• Prepare, review, and process shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, BOL, COO, COO/SADC where applicable)
• Capture and process orders and support the order fulfilment process
• Manage import/export permit applications and approvals
• Coordinate inspections and validations of shipments and related documentation
• Liaise with inspection companies, government departments, customs authorities, and freight partners
• Ensure shipments comply with SA import/export regulations and Incoterms
• Identify and mitigate import/export compliance risks
• Maintain trackers and documentation for audits and traceability
• Provide guidance on import/export processes to internal stakeholders
